MISSION

The San Juan AREA Sea Life organization is a 501C3 entity whose purpose is to restore and preserve the varied salmon species of the San Juan region through research, education, and action.

The initial focus of the organization is to restore salmon populations in the greater San Juan area (Marine Area 7) of the Salish Sea to 1985 levels, which has been identified by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and Puget Sound Treaty Tribes as the high-water mark for modern day Pacific Northwest salmon populations.
